Snowman is a short visual novel created for the Winter Visual Novel Jam 2022. It features the story of a man stranded in the middle of nowhere during a blizzard. In his search of a shelter, he found a cottage. What could be waiting for him there?

Pretty nice game, really interesting
gameplay videoReally enjoyed the story and just the experience in general.
With an intriguing revelation at the end, it was a fantastic short dramatic story. I'm not sure if I missed any hints. I also don't know if there is a way to get a "good ending." In any case, a compelling narrative and a strong visual component. (Edited to delete spoilers)
Spoiler thoughts --
My impression is that the mom died of an illness. She and the little girl looked happy in the photo, so I feel like the father's abuse began after the wife's passing as opposed to him having killed her. Since he looked sad in the photo, I suspect her illness was known at the time and it was already taking its toll on him. The fact that the master bedroom had not been opened recently definitely implies his grief was too strong to enter after his wife's death. (It's also possible the wife left him as as opposed to dying, but I don't feel that's the case.)
I am pretty sure this game has only one ending.

Very interesting short VN that has the right tenseness and keeps you on the edge what will be the final reveal!
Amazing art! It's impressive how there are so many CGs drawn for every single scene/location. You don't see it often in VNs but I found it very immersive that you draw the sprite of MC from his back view that he looks into the scene, because it almost looks a CG on itself.
